Flying Ukrainian relief supplies to Poland
In March 2022, we were asked to help transport 25 tonnes of relief aid to Poland, where it was urgently needed by Ukrainian refugees fleeing the Russian invasion. With limited aircraft and airline availability for relief flights, we needed to find a viable solution to transport the life-saving supplies as quickly as possible.
Our Solution
Route: Europe > Poland
Aircraft: Airbus A330-300 Zero LOPA
Knowing that freighters were in short supply, our experienced team thought outside the box and chartered a converted passenger aircraft with no seats to transport the critical cargo, which included relief supplies like tents, ground power units, medication and blankets. We sent the client several options within three hours of the request coming in, and by the following day we’d positioned their chosen aircraft at the departure airport ready for loading.
The Finer Details

Attention to Detail: Liaising closely with the aircraft operator, we recommended landing at a better-placed airport to the one requested by the client, saving them precious time.
Personalised Service: An ACS representative travelled with the cargo to personally ensure it reached the rescue team in Poland.
